2023 Mazda CX 60
Mazda is beginning an SUV onslaught with the 2023 CX-60 for Europe, Japan, and other regions. The Skyactiv Multi Solution Scalable Architecture is a completely redesigned automobile with rear-wheel drive underpinnings, despite its resemblance to the older model.
The firm’s first-ever plug-in hybrid model is the i-Activ AWD configuration, which primarily drives the back wheels.
By combining a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor, the PHEV version will be the first to hit the market.
Mazda claims the gasoline engine produces 189 horsepower (141 kilowatts) at 6,000 rpm and 261 Newton-meters (193 pound-foot) of torque from 4,000 rpm.
The electric motor has a power rating of 134 hp (100 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft), according to the manufacturer. The e-Skyactiv produces 323 horsepower (241 kW) and 500 Newton meters (369 lb-ft) when combined.
2023 Toyota RAV4
The Toyota RAV4 is one of the most popular SUVs each year, selling year after year. Toyota’s success is definitely due in part to its reputation for dependability.
Nonetheless, we appreciate the boot space interior, comfortable ride, and simple-to-use technology components of this tiny SUV. In addition, there are a variety of trim levels to choose from, depending on your budget or preferences.
One of the few models in its class to offer improved off-road capability thanks to its all-terrain tires and specific suspension improvements is the RAV4 TRD Off-Road trim, for example.
The Toyota RAV4, which is scheduled to be released in 2023, is likely to receive upgrades. 2023 seems like a likely year for some updates, given the debut of this generation RAV4 in 2019.
At this time, Toyota has not provided any official information, however, we don’t believe the company will make major styling changes, including some new capabilities, or change standard and option availability. \
When we have more information, we’ll update our review. We don’t believe these modifications will dramatically shift the Toyota RAV4’s position in the small SUV market.
We’ve found competitors like the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, and Nissan Rogue to be more versatile options overall than the XUV. By reading the test team’s Expert Rating below, you can learn more about the RAV4’s hits and misses.

2023 Mazda CX 60
As compared to the Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, and Nissan X-Trail, cars like the Mazda CX-5 always had an advantage in terms of interior design and build quality.
However, in competing with high-end German SUVs, the Mazda CX-60 will be a tough sell. Mazda has upped the ante on the inside to demonstrate its high aspirations.
With a Nappa leather interior and contrast stitching on the top-spec Takumi trim, this vehicle comes with excellent materials such as maple wood, metal, and premium Japanese fabrics. The dashboard has a few tactile buttons, and the cabin has a sleek design with few lines.
The CX-60’s extended wheelbase over the CX-5 allows for more legroom in the backseat, which is clearly one of its strongest features. The optional sunroof, which will spread enough natural light into the cabin, should make it feel even more spacious.
2023 Toyota RAV4
What do you think of the inside? It has a spacious driving position and is easy to get in and out of. If the front passenger seat wasn’t set so high or could be adjusted down on most trims, the RAV4 would score higher.
Just the RAV4 Limited offers a power-adjustable front passenger seat, as well as the driver’s seat and steering wheel.
While tall drivers may want a bit more adjustability, everyone will find it adequate. The view out the front is excellent.
Large, easy-to-understand labeling is used in the control layout. Everything else is where you expect it to be, and the audio system and climate system controls are islands unto themselves.
The climate control knobs are also rubberized, which is nice. The touchscreen is too far away from the driver, which is our only complaint. To twist the tuning knob, you’ll have to stretch out your arm.
Infotainment and Connectivity
2023 Mazda CX 60
The Mazda CX-60 has a lot of amenities. Heated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto mobile phone compatibility are standard on the base trim level.
A head-up display, a 12.3-inch screen for the infotainment system, and a big driver’s display are among the other standard features.
Ambient lighting ventilated front and rear seats, and a premium 12-speaker Bose surround sound system are among the Homura trim features. A facial recognition feature, which makes use of a camera, is another noteworthy technological feature.
The seat, steering wheel, outside mirrors, and flat-screen display (Homura and Takumi trims) are all automatically adjusted according to your eye level and body size.

2023 Toyota RAV4
The Toyota RAV4’s user interface is comprised of both touchscreens and physical buttons, making it simple to learn without referring to the manual.
The touchscreen’s graphics, on the other hand, seem outdated, even though the RAV4 is relatively new. The sound system is adequate, but it isn’t particularly noteworthy.
You may connect your Android or Apple smartphone to the system. Toyota’s original Entune software is clunky, so it’s a welcome addition.
The driver-aids package is a standard issue. It has active (but not hands-free) steering assistance called Line Tracing Assist, as well as adaptive cruise control that operates down to zero mph, automatic emergency braking, drowsy driver detection, and more.
The Mazda CX-60 earned five out of five stars for safety in both the frontal and side-impact tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The Toyota RAV4, meanwhile, only received four stars from NHTSA. However, it’s worth noting that the Ford Explorer also scored four stars in both categories.
Furthermore, rollover protection is standard on every model year Toyota RAV4 made since 2009 and all except for 2023 models come with a roof pillar system designed to protect you in a low-speed collision.
The Toyota RAV4 comes with a full five-year/60,000-mile warranty. The Mazda CX-60 offers only three years/36,000 miles on the frame and corrosion coverage of only one year for outside elements. However, it does come with roadside assistance for two years and a free lifetime oil change.
The CX-60 represents a significant leap forward for Mazda. The Mazda CX 60 2023 is an impressive first effort, with its boot space, performance, and design helping to move the brand from a major competitor to a premium competitor. There’s a lot to like for drivers interested in value and quality before a badge stamp.
While the Toyota RAV4 2022 is a nice SUV that drives well, has a spacious interior that’s simple to utilize, and provides convenient functionality. It’s a fuel-efficient vehicle that brakes and steers confidently. Despite its appeal for small SUVs, it is hampered by a satisfying engine and indifferent steering.
